Does 88mobile SIM card work on my mobile phone?
Yes, our SIM card can be placed in every unlocked cell phone. (Except Iphone 4 or Ipad, you will need a micro SIM card. You should cut the SIM card into the right size)

How can I order/purchase 88 mobile SIM card?
You can order the SIM card on our website. It is also possible to buy 88mobile SIM card at our points of sale.

When will I get my SIM card?
After we have received your order and payment, we will send your SIM card as soon as possible.

What’s my mobile number?
Your new mobile number is printed on the SIM card. If you have applied for mobile number portability, then you will get a temporary number until your current number is transferred.

Can I keep my existing number?
Yes, it is possible. Please indicate this during the order process. We will ask the name of your current provider, the number of your current SIM card (these can be found on the backside of your current SIM card) and the type of your current SIM (Prepaid or Contract). If you have a contract, you don’t have to do anything. We will end that for you. You can apply mobile number portability up to 120 days before your contract expires. The cost of mobile number portability is 10 euro.

Can I use 88 mobile SIM card before my current number is transferred?
Yes, that is possible. You can make and receive calls with your 88 mobile SIM card number until your current number has been successfully transferred.

Do I have a contract?
No, we don’t work with contracts. We only provide prepaid SIM cards.


Mobile Service
How can I check my prepaid balance?
With 88 mobile, you can check your balance anytime by logging in to our website. To check your balance online, log in to My 88 mobile. On the My 88 mobile home page, your current balance appears.

To check your balance directly from your phone, enter *134#, and then press Call. Your current balance will appear. You can also call 1244, and then press 2 to listen to your balance.

How can I see my call specification?
You can log in to your personal ‘My 88mobile’ page, using the pincode you provided at activation to see your call specification.

How can I switch on/off my voicemail?
You can do this at your personal My 88mobile page. Log in to My 88mobile, go to My Settings and choose Voicemail. You can also change your setting directly from your phone, call 1200 and select option 1, personal settings, follow the instruction. From a fixed line or abroad, please call +31(0)632 28 1200.

How can I listen to my voicemail message abroad or from other device?
You can call 1233 to listen to your voicemail when you are abroad. If it doesn’t work, then please call +31(0)632 38 1233.

Where can I top up my 88 mobile call credit?
We offer you a variety of credit top up methods. Most convenient and easiest way is to top up online on our website. You can simply pay with IDEAL and the credit will be topped up immediately after your payment.

You can also purchase top up vouchers from our dealers. To find a location near you, click here. There are top up vouchers available with 4 different values: 5 (not everywhere), 10, 25 and 100 euro.

How can I top up the credit?
If you choose online top up, then you don’t have to do anything. The call credit will be added automatically after you payment.

If you have purchased a top up voucher, then follow the steps below:
- Remove the scratch layer and you will find you unique top up code.
- Enter *133*refill code# then press Call.
- Your credit will be added afterwards.

You can also call 1244 from your mobile phone. Follow the instruction to top up with your unique top up code.

What should I do if the code of top up voucher doesn’t work?
If the top up doesn’t work after calling 1244 option 2, nor via *133* then you can log in to your My 88mobile page to enter the top up code manually. If case it’s not working, and or the problem with 1244 or *133* stays, please contact our Customer Service through 1200.

I have inserted the wrong PIN code 3 times; my SIM card is now blocked, what should I do?
You will need a PUK-code. This PUK-code can be found on the plastic card (You got this when you purchase a SIM card). Note: You can only use your PUK-code once.

How long do my SIM card and credit stay valid?
Your credit is valid as long as your SIM card is active. In case you don’t use 88mobile SIM card for 2 months (call/be called, text, top up your credit etc), your SIM will become inactive. You will get a warning message from 88mobile before we disable your SIM card.

My SIM card is now inactive, what can I do?
You can still change your SIM status once you top up the SIM card within 1 month after the warning message. Afterward you can use your 88mobile SIM card again.

When will my SIM card be permanently disabled?
Your SIM card becomes inactive if you don’t use it for 2 months. After that, if you haven’t top up within another month, your SIM will be permanently disabled. Then your remaining credit will be deleted too.


Abroad
Can I make and receive calls when I am abroad?
Yes, you can use 88 mobile to make and receive calls abroad in countries via selected operators that support Prepaid roaming calls. To check availability and selected operators in your destination country please click here.

How do I make a call with 88 mobile while abroad
Calling from another country works the same as with national calls, but please make sure you enter the prefix of your destination (0031 for Netherlands, leave out first digit 0)

To make a cheap call while abroad, please use our 'Call Back' function.

If you do not use this function and directly call the number, standard 88 mobile roaming rates apply.

What if my phone doesn’t have network coverage (while abroad)?
While abroad, your phone will automatically select a network. In case the selected network is not working properly, you can manually select another network. You can do this as follows:

- Go to Settings om your phone
- Select Phone
- Choose Netwerk
- Choose Manual
- You can now select antoher network.

My 88 mobile is the personal web self care environment. To log into ‘my 88 mobile’, please use the 88 mobile phone number and personal code (which was created during sim card activation after your purchase).
